The sun-drenched vineyard, ideally situated at the top of the hillside, benefits from an excellent reflection of heat onto the grapes. The Petits Noizons vines grow in a very pebbly, soil, of great depth. The results are a relatively powerful wine, with good structure and high quality.

Well-defined and sporting pure black cherry, black currant and violet aromas and flavors, this is solidly structured and vibrant. A strong graphite element emerges as this winds down on the finish. Shows excellent balance and length. Best from 2024 through 2038. 481 cases made, 50 cases imported.

The 2018 Pommard Les Petits Noizons includes 25% whole-bunch fruit this year. Primarily red berry fruit on the nose, which opens nicely in the glass, subtle menthol aromas developing with aeration. The palate is sweet and quite candied on the entry, to the extent that it is quite Volnay in style, and fleshy and rounded toward the simply, easygoing finish. Fine.
